While there are many Sport Coaches, Personal Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, and Physical Therapists working with athletes on a daily basis there are very few that teach essential elements and requirements of efficient and productive running. Sprinting is an integral part of most sports. Learning to sprint with proper technique and efficiency will not only make you faster but will also greatly mitigate risk of injury. Team sports are played at submaximal velocity. It's not enough to "just play" if an athlete wants to get faster, they must be exposed to maximum velocity. At Speed School Stone Harbor we teach proper sprint technique but we also progressively increase volume of training over the length of the course so the athlete will be suitably prepared for the intensity of their sport. The Speed School Stone Harbor program will begin with starting acceleration and gradually move into maximum velocity and eventually end with more sport specific movement patterns. We get athletes fast and keep them fast by avoiding injury and keeping them on the field.
